8. Cookies and Consent Management
We use cookies and similar technologies on the Website. Our Cookie Policy explains which ones, why, and for how long, and allows you to change or withdraw your consent at any time.
We use Real Cookie Banner to obtain and document your consent. It is self-hosted on our own servers, and no consent data is transmitted to the plugin’s developer or any other third party. When you give, refuse, change or withdraw consent, we record the consent given, the date and time, browser and device information, the version of the banner and of the consent settings in force at that time, and a randomly generated identifier stored on your device. We keep this record in order to demonstrate compliance with Article 7(1) GDPR. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
Website analytics. We use Burst Statistics, a self-hosted analytics tool, to understand how the Website is used. It operates without setting identifying cookies, does not track visitors across websites, and does not transfer data to any third party. All statistics are stored on our own servers within the EEA. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the Website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
9. International Data Transfers
We store and process your data within the European Economic Area wherever possible. Two third-party services on the Website, both operated by Google LLC, may transfer data outside the EEA. Neither loads unless you consent to it.
Google reCAPTCHA, used to protect our forms from spam, transfers data to the United States. Google LLC is self-certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has recognised as providing an adequate level of protection under Article 45 GDPR.
Embedded YouTube videos, where you choose to load them, may result in data being transferred to Google servers in countries outside the EEA, including countries for which the European Commission has not issued an adequacy decision. Google states that it relies on standard contractual clauses for transfers not covered by an adequacy decision. If you do not consent to these services, no data is transferred to them.
