Joint Statement on FIDA Simplification

Fintech Associations Unite in Support of a Stronger, Simplified FIDA Framework

EDFA has co-signed a joint industry statement in response to the European Commission’s non-paper on simplifying the Financial Data Access Regulation (FIDA), ahead of upcoming trilogue negotiations.

The statement reaffirms our strong support for the core goals of FIDA and welcomes several elements of the Commission’s simplification approach that aim to make the regulation more practical and implementation-ready. It also highlights remaining areas of concern where further refinement is needed to ensure that FIDA delivers on its potential to strengthen innovation, competition, and consumer empowerment across Europe.

The letter was co-signed by ETPPA, together with AEFI, AFEPAME , Digital Invest Germany, Electronic Money Association (EMA), France FinTech, PSD2 SIG, and SweFinTech.
