Fintech Cafè – March 2026

The March edition of the Fintech Café brought together EDFA’s national associations and several organisations active in digital finance across Europe. As always, the meeting provided an informal space to exchange updates, share perspectives, and reflect on developments shaping the fintech landscape.

Highlights from the March Session

This month’s discussion focused on a topic of growing relevance for the sector: marketing in fintech and influencer marketing. Participants shared an overview of the initiatives that national associations are developing in the areas of communication, visibility, and sector positioning, highlighting the increasing importance of strategic outreach for fintech companies across Europe.

Presentation by EIMA – European Influencer Marketing Alliance

The session also featured insights from the European Influencer Marketing Alliance (EIMA), founded by IMTB, UMICC and BVIM. Co‑founders Jeanette Okwu and Scott Guthrie introduced the Alliance’s work in supporting the creator economy and outlined key trends shaping the evolution of influencer marketing in Europe. Their contribution offered valuable context on how regulatory, technological, and market developments are reshaping the relationship between digital finance and digital creators.

Looking Ahead

The conversation underscored the importance of strengthening communication strategies within the fintech ecosystem and exploring new forms of engagement that can support visibility, trust, and innovation. The Fintech Café continues to serve as a simple yet effective forum for collaboration, helping EDFA reinforce cross‑border dialogue and contribute to a more coordinated, innovative, and connected European fintech environment.
