Finance Innovation hosts the third edition of RegTech Day, a day dedicated to transformation and innovation within the control, risk and compliance functions of banks and financial institutions. The programme opens on the question of what role control functions should play as a driver of competitiveness for financial institutions, rather than as a cost to be managed.

The morning covers the tension between strengthening KYC and anti-money laundering obligations and reducing friction at customer onboarding, risk management rebuilt around data and artificial intelligence, cyber threats arising from offensive AI and post-quantum encryption, and the detection and decision chain around increasingly sophisticated fraud.

The afternoon turns to how the accumulation of regulation, including DORA, MiCA and prudential revisions, is forcing structural revision of business models rather than compliance spend alone, procurement as a lever of technological sovereignty, the effect of decentralised finance on internal control and risk management, and the transformation that agentic AI brings to control functions.

Sessions run across two stages, with an exhibition space and an innovation area alongside.
